"Despite the streams and adoration, Benee feels like a social outsider: "I'm not very cool / I suck, I want to be like you", she bemoans over funky bass on 'Kool'. Really though, 'Hey u x' is the sound of a pop star who's resolutely herself and, ultimately, there's nothing cooler than that".

"Hey u x er desværre et ensporet album, hvor mange af sangene har stort potentiale til at kunne eksplodere i omkvæd, man kan synge med på. For der er ingen tvivl om, at Benees univers er både legesygt og eksperimenterende. Det bliver bare aldrig mindeværdigt. Men potentialet er der, så man kan kun håbe, at det bliver forløst på en opfølger".
