"Invocation is a likeable and thoughtfully assembled album. Dreisig is an appealing singer whose voice is intimate and clear, and she is most persuasive when the music calls for transparency and restraint. For recordings that stay within those bounds, this is a pleasing and well-crafted release".

"On this CD, which is a collection of prayers and other invocatory scenes, her singing goes beyond the merely beautiful to encompass characterization and word illumination of a level of achievement which is most impressive. (...) There are so many fine tracks on this recital that there isn't space within the confines of a review to do justice to all of them".

"Dreisig's silvery soprano is essentially a lyric instrument, best suited to the lighter, more bel canto repertoire. (...) Some of the lighter 'excerptable' numbers come off very well. Rusalka's Song to the Moon is floated well and Desdemona's Ave Maria is tender. French repertoire shows her voice off to best effect (...) Her Solveig's Song is simply gorgeous, limpid and heartfelt - a highlight of the album".
