"After a Roy Ayers collaboration, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Andrian Younge team up with another one of their heroes, Brazilian samba veteran Marcos Valle, taking the vibe of Valle albums like "Samba '68" and putting it through a 21st-century filter".

"Valle's eight songs, featuring whispered vocals over jazzy chords and sensuously textured woozy grooves, recall in places the singer's early 1980s collaborations with US soul man Leon Ware. Though the overall ambience is deliciously laidback, Valle shatters the prevailing languor with a breezy samba called "Our Train" and "Viajando Por Ai", a lively duet with his wife, Patricia Alvi.
